i need some help guys.

i got either fish attractant or bug repellant on the lenses of my sunglasses.

i left what looks like water spots but they will not come off!

i dont see the spots when im wearing the glasses, but if you are looking at me while im wearing them you can see the spots.

any tips on how to get this off?

What have you used to try and take it off?  

They sell lense cleaners at Walmart that are specifically designed for all types of glasses.

You may also want to try KVD Line and Lure.  Works on glasses too.

A little alcohol and a very soft cloth NOT PAPER TOWELS! Also what Speedbead said

You could try stoners invisible glass and some newspaper.  I can get most anything off my windshield with it.

Paper towels and newspapers can scratch the coatings put on the glasses to make them Polarized etc.

I have always used paper towels.

So I guess I will have to change to something soft.  

A very good friend is an optomitrest. He makes all my glasses, he always puts in these little tan cloth lens wipes. I always loose them and one day I used a paper towel , and he explained to me why it was not such a good idea.

I did the same thing with bug spray.  I never could get it off.  At least it was a cheap pair.

Bug sprays have a warning about not spraying on or near a lot of surfaces such as paint,certain fabrics, plastics, watch faces, etc  Whatever the carrier in those sprays is dissolves the plastic and the damage is permanent. A spray fish attractant may contain the same carrier. Read the label on those products.

Do the fish hang onto your glasses longer now that you've applied whatever attractant you applied?

Try finding one of those super soft cloths they sell for cleaing normal glasses, and then use Invisible Glass, which has worked getting anything off of any glass surface for me.

Why not ask the sunglass manufacturer or show them to a local optician?

Try using the BTS spray that works great!!! I've used it before on my sunglasses and it worked great.

ok this is a expensive solution but i'm almost 100% it'll get it off, at your local autoparts store (autozone, murrays, advanced auto) in the detailing//car wash section they sell these kits called "clay bar kits" pick a brand i usually go with meguars because they come with a free microfiber towel.

just follow the instructions and if the spots are just stains they'll easily be removed unless they're etched into the glass.

you can also use it on your car after to freshen the paint up a little bit.

kits usually cost about 20 dollars so if they're a cheap pair you might as well buy another one.

The best suggestion here. The glasses are dipped in various levels of coatings. Some of the car glass products being suggested here may harm those layers. Paper products cause microscopic scratches in these layers. If we are talking about an expensive pair of glasses some of these suggestions might lead you down the road to ruin!

i have tried using rubbing alcohol and windex, neither one of them took off the spots.

i guess i'll just live with spots because im not going to spend a whole bunch of money to take them off when i could probably buy a new pair for the same price.

If it doesnt effect your line of sight i wouldnt worry about it.
