Nothing

Featured Replies

I can't catch anything! I'm new to fishing, but I do go fishing about 3 times a week.

I go to the Locks (Lock 7 Mostly At Night) on the Erie Canal and Saratoga Lake in NY.

I have a bunch of fishing stuff, most what I've seen being used on here, but I have caught nothing all year besides off of a Rapala lure I threw in first time and caught a 7lb largemouth. Didn't catch anything after that.

All I catch are little sunnys, little perch and maybe some tiny bass.

I can only fish off shore or off a dock unfortunately. I've seen 20lb Carp being brought up off of Lock 7 and some decent sized catfish. Also heard some nice Bass also.

I have tubes, yum craw, lizards, Rage Tail Frogs, chatterbait(white), Daredevil, some spinners, and all kinds of assorted stuff.

I'd like to get some GY prosenko but I don't know how to rig it up.

Any Help?

If you are catching small panfish I would upsize your tackle.

Larger crankbaits, spinnerbaits, worms, buzzbaits, topwater, jerkbaits. All are good. Jerkbaits should be great for lake Erie since it is such a clear lake.

Good Luck to You!!!

I do have good sized tackle. I just throw a tiny piece of worm on a hook and drop it off the edge of the dock and the sunnys go crazy and I just pull them up.  ;D

That's after I get so bored of not getting any bites.  :-/

Erie Canal, not Erie Lake!  ;D
