Not sure how many of you have followed this incredible bass fisherman, but I really like his attitude and persistence in everything he does. I was curious as to why I hadn't heard much about him lately, so I did a little searching. Here is a link to his site, wherein he outlines his 2011 strategy. I do hope we hear more from him.....and soon!

Skeet has had a tough start to the AOY competition and is sitting in 52nd position currently.  While he didn't place too badly in the Classic (14th), he was never in the thick of it.  I think this is why we haven't heard much about him.  However, only two AOY events have been completed.  I think he'll make some noise before it's over.

I am a Kevin Van Dam fan, and I root for him to win. That said, I felt bad for Skeet last year. He had an incredible season. I like the format much better this year, and although Skeet has not gotten off to a great start, he will be there in the end.

If you did not follow his blog on Bassmaster.com, check into it and see if you enjoy it. I found myself rooting for him more after following his blog. He writes it from the heart, and it shows. Although we "fans" can never be sure of a persons' character(see Jim Tressel), I believe Skeet to be a good guy who loves his family and loves to fish.
