OK, I can't hold it in anymore!!

Featured Replies

I wanted to save this till the video was ready but it looks like i won't have time to build it till the weekend, and even then, I'm going to be very busy.

Aaaaaaanyway,.....

Sunday, Eric and I got out again. With all the "shiner" talk on the board and water that has now gone below the golden 50 degree mark, we decided to throw some live ones at them this weekend. It's been a few years since either of us went shiner fishing and boy were we in for a treat!

We hit 11 fish over 4 lbs, countless 2 and 3 lbrs and personal PB's for the day of

Eric- 7.2 lbs

Me- 6.9 lbs

Another 5 fish were also caught on jigs. A limit,....on jigs,...in 49 degree water. We were pumped.

Aside from the bag from heaven, we had one of those days where you just laugh all day. Fishing shiners, with no pressure, really brought back the old school feeling of comeraderie on the water. Brought us right back to the first time I brought him there 17 yrs ago, the yr we met.

Great times, Fall video coming, will post ASAP.

That's cheating. ;D

Alright LBH, I hear all this talk about how good you are at catching some beastly bass. You suppose you could catch fish like that at an over pressured lake too? I mean some of the newbies on here could throw a shiner in and pull out a 6.9lb'r in a semi private lake. Im callin you out! ;D

Them thar's fightin words. I'll see you at Fork, and Ill be the one looking like an big butthead. ;D  Or will I?  Any bets?

You better believe it 5bass!

I'd watch the video, but I still have dial-up, and it take 20 some hours to download your videos.

ok,...that explains it,lol.

BF- Fishing as competition is work.  I'm going on vacation.

If you'd like, I can keep a good idea of what my top 5 are for you to have somthing to compare yourself too.  Personally, I got nothin' to prove to anyone but myself.  And all I plan on proving is that I can smile for 5 days straight.

On a sidenote, I will say this. Anyone who as ever won anything on the water just grinned when they read what you wrote.  More traps have been shut and shut good on the water than you can shake a stick at.   I think it's called getting "muzzled"

Careful wielding that sword and wallet unless you have the money to play, I'm sure someone else will take you up on a wager.

Sheesh you people arent any fun!  Lighten up some  ;)

Looking foward to it!

Shesh New England gets bigger bass then Ohio and an ocean view to boot!

Man I gotta get out of here...

Your 2 big bass from today would have won big bass and would have put you in at least second place in any tournament I fished all year....  :'(

Thats sad... :(

all these positve results from you and shiner fishing alone is gonna make live bait sales go up 30%!

BF- I told you I would track the top 5. Your PM let me know that wasn't good enough. It also let me know that you really aren't the friend you pretended to be so sure,...bring your wallet.

BA12- sorry about that buddy, it's gonna be few days.

:o :o :o  Oink!!!!!  Oink!!!!!!

OK .... I think that will tide us over. ;)

That's truly inspiring to me.  Inspires me to get off my butt and get out there and freeze it off.  ...... Well actually I don't have a problem with the cold.  It's the cold AND the rain.  I'll do one or the other, but not both.  It's going on 3 weeks since I've been out. :'(

Wow!

Forget about Fork, that's a pig!

you know what guys stop being so rude to Bass fisherman..especially you Low buget Hooker..YOUR SMART remarks to him are out of line. what I  have been seeing around here is a lately is just big ego trips and it's a turn off for me to belong to a board like this.I don't like people who constantly BRAG ''look what I caught''  OR ''BRING YOUR WALLET''..WHAT A SHAME!!.Bass fisherman is the nicest person you ever want to meet..but to bad with all this competition around here you'll never know.what ashame.! >:(

Lady Bass,

This IS the section for bragging. The "competition" was brought on by BASS fisherman, not Russ. Plus, I think it's all good natured and just meant to be fun. I know Russ doesn't give a hoot about competeing with anyone at Lake Fork, he doesn't ever even fish competatively. Most importantly, Russ shares EVERYTHING with all the BassResource members and takes the time to offer very specific help to many.

I guess all I'm saying is, "lighten up", this whole conversation has been togue in cheek. No one is being belittled and Russ is not challenging anyone.

lady bass,

you should go back and re-read this thread, bass fisherman started the trash talking and apparently sent a PM to LBH, talking some more trash.

LBH,

Nice fish!!

Forget about Fork, that's a pig!

A real beauty, anyone would like to have... but still a slot fish at Fork! ;)

Nice job guys!

LBH-

Personally, I got nothin' to prove to anyone but myself

These are words to live by! And I add, I'm not interested in what anyone else thinks of it!
