Pics from last week at Lake Fork

Featured Replies

Well we were supposed to go down next weekend and have a small tournament and go to the Nascar race. But they threw a mandatory Saturday on us for that weekend so we went Easter Weekend.

Fishing was very tough all 3 days except 2 hours on Saturday when we got into them. Friday only fish caught was a 8 lb channel cat on a spinnerbait. I thought I had a monster for a minute till I felt his head start spinning . I saw it was a catfish and about puked.

Fished all morning Saturday and caught some  small dinks and then we ran up in Dale Creek and caught five 7.2, 6.1, 5.4, 3.6 and a 3.1.

24lbs 15 oz in 2 hours on about 300 yards of bank.

They next day it was horrible ,it was white capping in the creeks and we gave up early. We had a awesome time down there and will go back next year.

I wonder how many lower units are destroyed on that lake a year?We came out of popes landing and i was running the bouys out to the main lake . I had about 5 ft between me and the bouy and saw a stump go by the other side of the boat maybe 10 feet away. Yeesh and I thought Truman Lake was bad.

Nice fish, I was there Sunday morning too.  Wow!  Those were some good sized rollers.  I was glad to make it back in with my 17' Tracker.
