RageTail Fest this past weekend!

Went up to my cottage Friday night and arrived to 30 MPH + winds out of the west. I am on a narrow Peninsula between 2 lakes and have lakefront property on both sides of the house. Too windy to load the boat and go out on the west lake, which is where I moor my boat. Decided to make a few casts off the dock on the east lake and wham, third cast got a decent keeper on a Rage Shad.

Got up early Sat. morn to cloudy skies with slightly less wind. Hit the pads and slop with the Rage Shad and absolutely smoked em

Must have got 25-30 blow-ups and hooked and landed about 20 or so. All solid keepers but no hawgs. Went thru 10 Shads and switched to the Toad with no let-up.When the topwater bite slowed, I tried out some of the new RageTail baits in deeper water. Separate post to follow. That night I took my dad out and and got several more blowups, including nice one shown. Must have missed on 10 bites. For me, Buzzbaits might have just become obsolete. Sunday was spent fishing the new baits. Big-O, I can't say enough about your baits. Thanks! Last pic is some of the dead soldiers from the weekend.

Fallen Soldiers.

Nice! Yeah buzzbaits seem to stink pretty bad compared to a rage shad which is weedless. BTW does that smokin rooster have a good action on the topwater as well?

I actually caught one while burning it in to make another cast. I don't think there is an application where you cannot fish this bait. I will post a more thorough review as I get the Pics out of my camera.

Good job Ken, have to say not many fallen soldiers for that kind of production. Them Rage Tails sure hold up don't they? The wind reminded you of the Roadtrip I am sure.

Yeah, 2-3 foot breakers on a small lake makes fishing and boat control tough. Baits do seem to hold up pretty well. I brought about 20 home to super glue back together and see how that works. It laid down a bit Sat morn and set up a perfect drift through my favorite pad field.

I'd love to get my hands on those roosters...

congrats on the day. i no i just got me some rage tail toads myself. dink whisperer talked me into them. and my god the coffee scent is strong soon as i took it out the package the scent was booming.

Yeah, I haven't seen those roosters myself?

they're not available yet.

No need for black market. They will be hitting the stores this coming Sept. Those of us that were fortunate enough to get a few samples from Big-O at this years road trip are guarding them with our lives though. I'm almost out and only use the in my proven honey holes now. Be the first to get them when they hit the shelves and beat your buddies! ;)

Can't say it enough. Big-O is the man! Now if I could only figure out a way to spend some time in the boat with him. ;D

I personally use a soldering iron to melt legs and such together. It sure makes my baits go allot longer. I've also got a Space monkey that lost it's front legs that now has rage frog legs that I can't wait to try out.

I'm going to get some Mend-It. Apparently the company was bought out and the bottle was improved so it does not evaporate and get hard.

At least that's what they say.
