North Landing River VA. 10/17/2009

The fishing is pretty good right now if you can brave the drizzle, wind, and cold.

Wind is out of the North / North East so the water level is low but you can still launch your boat, just be careful.  

Water Temp is 59 degrees. It was pretty consistant with the water temp on the river and creeks.

I was catching bass on spinnerbaits & plastic worms. You really have to work the cover. The bass are tight on the cover but they are biting.

I also caught some crappie for the frying pan. I caught them on minnows. Again, you have to be close to cover for them and play around with the depth. Once you get on them you will catch good numbers.

Talked with some of the guys out there and they said they have been doing good catching bass & crappie, and a few of the guys said they have been catching some strippers too.
