SKUNKED!  I went to pre-fish a tournament at Dale Hollow today, the weather was beautiful... the fishing was awful!  Put in at 6a.m. had one bite all day at the first stop on a shaky head.  Fished the float and fly off and on but no takers.  We tried everything from jigs to jerkbaits to spoons nothing worked.  Crystal clear water bluebird skies and no wind makes that lake almost impossible, not to mention the below average water temps 38* in some areas.  I don't feel bad though, there was a tournament blasting off this morning and they "weighed" in when we were leaving...no fish brought to the scales by 12 boats.  :'(  Oh well I can only hope for some clouds and rain next weekend.

It should be slowly warming up from here on out with one or two more short cold fronts so the pre-spawn and spawn should be under way in the next few weeks

I was just happy to get out there.
