Attractant Recipe

Recommended Posts

Will someone share their recipe for a good bass attractant. I have a large collection of soft plastics that have aged and I would like to put them in bags with an attractant. I know personal recipes may be a closely guarded secret but maybe someone will open their cookbook.

Thanks for your help.

I prefer MegaStrike mostly because it is user friendly and I believe

fish hold a bait a split second longer. I also use JJ's Magic which can

be applied to baits and kept in bags indefinitely. However, it is not

particularly user friendly.

Here's a homemade recipe:

Catch a blue gill or any species of shad. Kill it and scrape the scales

and slime into a container of Vaseline, then mix it up and apply to

bait/ lures.

I don't have a fancy recipe, but I put Anise oil in my bags of plastic baits.  You can find other scented oils as well.  A lot of guys just put their usual scent in the bag.  I haven't tried it, but maybe spray some of the GULP! Alive scent in there.

The best one-word recipe; Megastrike.

No need to put any in the bag. Just apply to each bait when you rig it.

You could try JJ's Magic, I think they're mainly dyes but they do offer a clear bottle.  It's got some crazy garlic scent! don't spill it
