Scam

Featured Replies

Attention guides and outfitters, here is an email from a scam artist. I have received this 3 times now over the last few months. Received it twice today. The key here is "credit card". Pay with credit card, can't come, wants refund, refund by check, credit card was stolen. Bad guy gets money from US bank, we get bamboozled!

Has anyone else received this?

"Hello, I am William Glenn from scotland , I am coming for Fishing with my friends.I will like to know if there is any Vacancy for Fishing within the dates of 10th to 20th of June 2007,kindly confirm any 5 vacant days during that date space. Please get back to me if there is vacancy so that i can book reservation immediately with my credit cards for the days to be blocked. I await your email. Best Regards, William Glenn +44 7045700334 Fax:+447884514786 contct_wglenn1@yahoo.co.uk "

Have you tried to call the number listed?

I wonder if anyone would answer, and if so, how could you turn it around so they get busted?

I tried to bait them into sending the credit card info so I could have it checked to see if it was stolen, but they must have smelled something bad about to happen.
