Muddy water and the wind

Featured Replies

Okay so I always see guys say that when the wind beats against a bank for awhile, it pushes bait in that direction and discolors or muds up the water and its a good location to target for bass. However I also hear guys talk about their spots getting muddied up and failing to produce. So, when can you tell whether or not a muddy strip will be holding bass?

After you fished the area for 30-45 minutes with out a bit is pretty sure they aint biting  ;)

Haha. Good point but when you're fishing a tournament and....

well you get the point. I havn't noticed a lot of sharp contradictions like that though...

Well its kinda hard, if it happens with structure or cover present usually the bass will be there.  If they aren't then you should know within 30-45 minutes like Catt said.  But it doesn't happen all the time, but it can.  It's almost an iffy thing
