Just curious as to what your go to bait is ? My go to bait is a 5" Kalin grub on a 1/8 oz. leadhead. I primarily use 3 colors, Smoke, motor oil/ red flake and bluegill color. :)Ivan

In our lake ( Cascade in Idaho ) 3 inch grubs on 1/8 oz jig heads,in watermelon and pumpkinseed , and shad raps in perch pattern,and occasionally a small spinnerbait in black and yellow are consistantly effective. The water here is generally clear to slightly green.

Tubes are my favorite in Roadkill, watermelon/chart tail and smoke/black flake. Rocket shad and Rattlin Rogues run a close second and third. These work the best for me on the two rivers I fish for smallies.

My favorite for rivers is a Rapala orignal floater in silver. Cast out near structure, let it sit until all the ripples around it are gone then twitch it a couple times.

4. small crank bait (silver/black original floater)

3" grub in smoke, pumpkinseed and watermelon in the spawn. 1/4 ounce gold Kastmaster jigging spoon year round.

Mine is a 4" bps tube in purple gold fleck, second would be a 5" kalin's smoke copper grub.
