Need Pm Test.

Featured Replies

I've tried sending a couple PMs since the change over. Couldn't. I'd appreciate it if someone would send me a PM to see if I can receive them. Someone without a full PM file (or whatever you call it) so that I could try sending a message back. I'd like to make sure all is well on my end. Thanks.

Edit: Will check back tomorrow.

PM sent.

Here's the pm I sent you.

You have to click on "Send me a message" on the person's profile that you want to contact. It confused me at first. I thought it was requesting that individual to contact me.

Be sure to put your topic in the Subject box, then your message goes in the, TA DA, message box. Don't know why they changed the format of the pm system. It takes a bit of getting used to.

One more thing. You will not receive a pop up message that tells you someone has sent a pm to you. Click on your name in your profile. You'll find "new conversations" or some such thing.

They are still working some of the bugs out of the system. I suspect this is one of them.

Actually, you select a variety of ways to be notified of new PMs. You can select email, inline, or mobile phone. To select which one you want, look towards the top of the forum for you name. Click the down arrow next to your name and select "my settings".

Now select "Notification options" from the list on the left. Scroll down the page and you'll see the options. Select what you want, then click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.

If you want a pop up, then at the top of the page, look for "Notification Preferences" and check the box next to "Show popup when I receive a new inline notification". Again, click "Save Changes" for your selection to take.

That's it!

I got email notification from 5 of you. Thanks. I found the messages under the drop down menu on my username. I checked the popup so I'll have to wait for the next PM. Apparently Nibbles box is full as I just tried a PM to Rhino, and it appears to have been delivered ok. At least I didn't get any messages like the first two times telling me they couldn't be delivered.

Thanks to all for your help. Appreciate it.
