Old Pond, New Trick.

Recommended Posts

My son had a few days off from baseball this week so after work we headed over to a local pond that used to have a pretty good population of good bass. When word got out, it was ravaged by the bucket brigade. He brought his girlfriend and we stopped and got some minnows and crawlers as it still has a good panfish population. Most of my stuff is up north but I brought a couple packs of Rage Craws and some 1/8 oz. Moaner hooks I just received in the mail. The kids were catching some pretty decent Crappie and a few good 'gills. His girlfriend got a nice tangle so I let the Craw sit on the bottom and got her fixed up. I went over and picked up my rod and as soon as I moved the Craw, Bam! 3+ lb. bass. I used the stop and start method and got 2 more from the same area before leaving. The Rage Craw is dynamite! I will definitely be hitting this pond again and guess what I will be using.
