St.croix Premier Pc70Mhf

Featured Replies

I have been fishing a St.Croix Premier PC70MHF for a while and when I went to buy another one it looked different. Same model number but the eyes were in different places and the top four eyes were set different. Does anyone know if they changed anything on their newer Premier rods? One thing I also saw was my older rod has a St.Croix sticker that gives all the rod details, and the new one is actually printed on the rod.

I would really like to find one that matches the original rod that I have.

I think they changed their guides a few years back to Batsons. Rod manufacturers aren't static with their models, and make small changes year to year. Your best bet is to buy two newer rods. The greater number of lighter guides is an improvement.

They've been listing the rod specs on their rods for a while now (years) so the odds of matching the one you already own is pretty slim unless you can find a used one for sale somewhere.
