Something wasn't put together right. I know, that's a "duh" answer, but it's about as good as I can do. You'll have to send it to BPS or DVT or something.

    I just ended up taking the reel back to BPS to have it repaired. The reel tech that came around noticed there was an immediate problem as soon as he felt the reel. They replaced it on the spot. Great customer service. Thanks to everyone that tried to help, I appreciate it.
