looking for discontinued color

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a color that used to be made by culprit in their 7.5" worm, it is called  purple ice and I was wondering if anyone has seen it anywhere or something similar to it. It is a laminate half light purple almost a pink color and the other half is pearl white.

Was this particular Culprit color made back in the early eighties??? The reason im asking is Culprit made a 7.5 inch sickle tail worm that was a transparent blue/pearl laminate color. The sun light would penetrate the blue and bounce back off the pearl and it looked like the whole worm was lit up. That was one of the best worm colors i have ever used and its nearly impossible to find now.

try the gambler ribbon tail in tequila sunrise. that is the closest thing to the color you are looking for.

yea tequilla sunrise is an awsome color 8-)

yeah thats probably it its about the time it was made i beleive it was discontinued in the late 80's or early 90's and it is in their 7.5 inch worm

I would take the advice to call the company and inquire as to whether there were any available.  I did this with another company about a discontinued soft plastic color and they had 1500+ units of the lure sitting on a pallet.  This particular color had been out of production about 3-4 years.  I was able to get all I ever wanted.  They didn't discount them as deeply as I wanted them to, but I was happy.

7 1/2” Culprit ribbon tail is available in pearl white.

You can use a violet purple Sharpie pen to  color the back.

Custom color ribbon tail worm require a injection mold to make the worm.

I haven't done this in a while but I have taken two different colors, white and whatever other color, twisted the worms together and placed them in their own bag. Unwrap them after a few days in a warm boat and you have a two colored swirled bait.

Watching Scoggins Spike-It paint technique will work to achieve what you want. Buy a pearl white curl worm and paint the back neon purple.

I used to throw a couple of black grape Tournament worms into a full bag of motor oil Tournament worms.
