Im going to be going into the Marines and need two good rods and reels that i can take with me. Also since im going to be traveling with them alot i dont want them being overly expensive. any ideas?

I assume you will be looking for 2-piece (or more) rods. A 7' one-piece rod is a pain to travel with unless taking your own transportation.
