Suffix Performance Braid, Any Good?

There are plenty of other options. However, Sufix Performance is a good braid. I went with 40# Performace for my first braid purchase after reading this review. http://www.tackletou...aidroundup.html I have since bought 55# Samurai for my frog fishing. It seems to me after the reading I've done, that it is hard to buy a bad braid. Some may be smoother and quieter than others. All seem to lose color. All are much stronger than their rating.

I personally feel you picked a good line.

EDIT: Expect it to turn white after some use.

Thats some great information thanks. And white? ah that may make me change my mind. What braid woudl you choose in the 20 dollar price range? im getting a new rod and reel so money for line is tight.

I fish the Sufix braid over Power Pro. Just my 2 cents worth. But PP is my number 2 pick.

Well, I shouldn't have said 'white'. It appears almost white when compared to its original color, but in fact is a light olive color. Definitely light green, not white. Besides I don't think line color is all that important to the fish. I think it is much more important to the fisherman. I've got some Neon Tangerine that I will be spooling on a couple reels that will be used for techniques where line watchiing is a plus. I can't see the line nearly as well as I could in my youth. (I've got cataracts started in both eyes with the right one nearing operation time.) Maybe I can catch an equally poor sighted "Hog".with that Neon Tangerine! :)

Should you be in a situation where line color "may" be important, then use a leader tied on with an Alberto knot. Problem solved.

I left Power Pro and went to 50lb Sufix 832 for frog fishing and much prefer it. It casts great.
