Introducing the new KastKing Mg-Ti Elite, the world’s first low profile baitcast reel with a full Titanium spool and shaft. The new fully titanium spool weighs only 1/10th of an ounce offering the castability of a wide range of lures from 0.05 oz - 1 oz. This makes the spool/shaft featherlight and gives it extremely low start up inertia for casting those ultralight baits. Due to a tensile strength of 250% higher than standard aluminum spools, the lightweight design will handle even the most rugged conditions.
Included in the Mg-Ti is KastKing’s new Halo Vortex Magnetic Brake. The HVB is a self-adaptive magnetic braking system that delivers adequate braking at the start of the cast to prevent backlash while automatically reducing braking force during the mid-to-late stages of the cast ensuring optimal casting distances. The entire braking system is contained in the side cover which avoids additional spool load. On the exterior, the reel offers a Digi-Cut magnesium alloy frame and TiCon carbon fiber side covers, giving greater strength and significant weight savings over aluminum and standard carbon.
Palm perfect sizing offers a comfortable and secure grip. The redesigned Tournament Star Drag expands the control area by 20% allowing single-handed adjustments so that anglers can utilize their fingertips to retrieve their line with the tapered star drag. Featuring a powerful drag with up to 18 LBS of force, the Mg-Ti is overqualified for any species targeted in its weight class. Also, the integrated drag clicker will let you know exactly when it’s putting the brakes on any fish trying to flee the scene.
