Speed Demon Pro crankbait rods use a composite blend of S-Glass technology and high modulus graphite to build a lightweight, well balanced and thin rod blank that still has the soft crankbait action. There are two casting models, 7' crankbait and 6'8" Square Bill rod and an innovative new 7'3" spinning model for those anglers looking to use a spinning combo to make long casts with small crankbaits and still have a soft cranking action.

All KastKing Speed Demon Pro Series fishing rods are positioned to sell at retail for under $125 USD at this time and have a limited lifetime warranty. They will be available online at Amazon four to five weeks after their debut at the Expo.

KastKing will also show off the new STS KastKing Speed Demon Bass Fishing Rods in Greenville. Speed Demon Bass rods use proprietary Dimensional 16 Graphite blanks to deliver incredible hook setting and lifting power while still being exceptionally light and sensitive. The crankbait models are designed with forgiving moderate actions through their own S-Glass blanks.

"We've selected perfectly matched Fuji reel seats and guides so that you'll always know that you are using the best and never have to worry about a component failure," says Al Noraker Director of Product Development at KastKing. "Spinning models using Fuji LV style guides with "O" rings, casting models use Fuji LN model guides, also with "O" rings. KastKing's third entry in their triple crown line up of rod offerings at the 2018 GEICO Bassmaster Classic presented by DICK'S Sporting Goods is the KastKing Calamus Ultra-Light Spinning Rods.

"We named this rod 'Calamus', the light yet extremely strong part of a bird feather, more commonly known as the quill," says Tom Gahan, Chief Marketing Officer at KastKing. "As was the case with the development of the KastKing Speed Demon Pro Rods and our STS Speed Demon Bass Rods, we left nothing on the table in terms of the type and quality of the components and the cosmetics."

KastKing will offer nine spinning models of the Calamus rods. They are all two-piece KastKing Micro Polish IM7 30 ton (30 million modulus 650K strain rate) carbon blanks that are in the ultra-light class with moderate fast to fast actions. All size Calamus rods have V-Mark titanium guides, ultra-light premium EVA handles, split rear handle design to reduce weight and improve balance, and SKSS two-piece reel seats for weight reduction and sure fit. All of these weight saving features result in complete ultra light fishing rods that weigh as little as 2.5 ounces.

"We see that bass anglers often enjoy fishing for bass and other species on light tackle," says Gahan. "That's why we are sending these to the Classic. KastKing Calamus Ultra Light spinning rods are great for panfish, crappie, smallmouth, and trout fishing. We have not finalized the retail price at this time for Calamus, but we will by the Classic next week. Like the Speed Demon Pro rods and Speed Demon bass rods, Calamus ultra light rods will be at fantastic, affordable price point. At this time we estimate the average retail price to be below $60 USD per rod across the series. "

KastKing Calamus Ultra Light Fishing Rods will be available to the fishing public in four to five weeks after the GEICO Bassmaster Expo presented by DICK'S Sporting Goods weekend March 16th weekend at Lake Hartwell, SC.

"We are pleased to introduce our new 'Affordable Innovation' fishing rods to anglers with features that far exceed the price. We feel these super quality rods will become the benchmark for the best value in fishing rods," says Tate Cui CEO at Eposeidon. "Once again we will live up to our promise of keeping fishing fun...by keeping it affordable. People should not consider the low cost as low quality. These rods are as good as any other on the market. And, in many ways are better."

Last month KastKing introduced other new rods, the KastKing STS salmon and steelhead fishing rods at the Pacific Northwest Outdoors Show in Portland, Oregon.
