Grand Haven Michigan Pier Fishing

I went fishing on the pier from 12-3pm and the waves hitting the Pier were terrible. It was a red flag day and I wasn’t having much luck in the middle on the Pier so I worked my way down to the end only getting small Gobies. I had seen the bass follow some of my spinners a couple times then he diapered. I decided to just throw a night crawler on a  big catfish hook down deep by the rocks. After a couple minutes I slowly started to real in and it was getting tighter. I thought it was a Gobie until it got real hard and I jerked it up and she was gone. It took me about 7 minutes with my 6’6 Eagle claw with my Crossfire-3ib real and my 14 lb braided test. After that all the other fishermen came by me haha(:
