I tried an epoxy dip on the first ones I painted. They turned yellow after a month or so. Not sure if it was Devcon brand. Thanks I will pick some up and try it out. Auto Clear Coat sounds like a simpler solution maybe. I'll also give that a try.
I have baits that are coated with Devcon 2 Ton epoxy that are crystal clear and that is why I use it because it was the only epoxy I found that dried clear. I think it also states that one of its uses is as an encapsulant. Yes, I know too well about epoxy turning yellow, I've been making tackle for over 15 years and tried many different products and Devcon is the best I ever used, just make sure it is the 30 minute. BTW, you need to brush Devcon on, it is too thick to dip and when you brush it on don't worry about brush marks, it is pretty much self leveling so all you need to do is use your drying wheel and it will come out perfect.

I use the brush and hang method for my baits. Just brush enough on to make sure the entire bait is covered and then hang. The minor excess ends up on the rear hook hanger and then I just take the dremel wire brush to it and ta da. Done deal.
