Had a bad day today started off by losing an a-rig with 50$ worth of special jig heads then i lost two spoons and two lc cb 20 and my only lure retriever then i broke the tip of my new ducket cranking rod. Burnt 80$ of fuel and boated four fish. You can do the math. Expensive day and very few fish.

Sorry to hear about all that bad luck. I was going to say "any day on the lake is better than being at work", when I read the topic description but after all that I am sure you would have rather been at work.

Sorry to hear that. I hope your next trip is more fun and adventure than frustration. Was the wind fighting you??

40 mph out of the east. I ended up using a one ounce football jig. Just to bump bottom.

Were you on Guntersville? I like the lake very much, but my lasting impression of the lake will be the multi-directional winds.

A little? Seems like it swirls at 40mph all day every day there!

Next time, I'll bring my kites with me, that in itself should guarantee light breezes.
