Ive been using a superline for a bit this season and I love the sensitivity and strength but I dont get alot of bites unless I tie on a flouro leader... Which brings me to my question... how does flouro compare to braids/superlines on stretch and abrasion resistance? Do any of you fill your spool with flouro? If so, what kind do you recommend for a medium power fast action pole I use for plastics only. I believe its rated 10-17#. Maybe Ill save my lime green fireline for frogging only...

I used to use only btaid because I couldnt find a mono or fluoro that felt strong enough or handled good enough to trust. Then I found YoZuri, havent looked back since. I have my Curado E7 for my frogs/jigs with 65# braid, 50E with 12# Zuri, Citica G with 17# mono for topwater, and a Chronarch E7 with 20# Zuri for heavier cover/deep worm fishing. Next is a CH50E for 30# braid for light bait in heavy cover.

Fluoro has more stretch than braided line but less than mono. Fluorocarbon line is pretty abrasion resistant and it also sinks where as mono and braid float. Fluoro is nearly invisible under water which is really important if you're fishing clear water. A lot of people don't spool their entire real with fluoro and use leaders because it is pretty expensive. I don't because I'm not confident enough in my knot tying to connect lines. I've also heard higher test fluoro doesn't do well on spinning gear. I have one real lined with fluoro for deep cranking.
