So I just moved to Enfield and have no idea where I need to go to catch bass. I tried this little pond between Main St and Route near the police station but all I got was a few pumpkin seeds. According to the other guys there it's pretty much just catfish in there which I'm not interested in. Does anyone know where I cango to catch some bass around Enfield? I don't have a boat so there needs to be shore access.

hmmmmm this is gonna be vague I apologize in advance its been a while I went to college in the area Barren institute now lincoln tech but i lived at the dorms in enfield. I caught a few on the Ct. river where the bridge over passes it heading into down town by the mall. I cant remember that road though it has 6 flags on it along with the culinary school. Off that road there's a few access points and side roads leading to spots I just explored when i was there. I fished crystal lake a few times not much luck but I don't think i ever went there sober or pre occupied if you know what I mean I was in college after all. I think there was a few spots in sommers also don't remember exactly same reason as crystal lake.

Hope ya find some spots I know there out there

I too am new to CT and live just outside of waterbury.While it may not be much help,Hop brooke park near my house has been producing pretty well for me,especially for a place that the locals said didnt have any bass.All I ever see is guys fishing for stocked trout with live bait.I've also heard good things about a place called Bantom lake but have yet had the time to make the trek there and I've had decent luck at a place called skobles (sp?)but that was live bait fishing when I 1st moved here(mainly perch).I dont know if it is me but in my area i have yet to find any true bass fisherman................not sure how to go about it but if you'd like to catch a few down my way I'd be more then happy to show you the spots that work for me.

I remember hearing about bantom when I was there couple the instructors mentioned it i never made it there tough but sme thing heard great things

I recomend that all of make a point to fish Bantem. The lake has a diverse range of oppertunites. Pike, bass, panfish, and lots of all 3. Not to mention, you can just as easily catch all 3 even if your just shorefishing. Theres some monters in there too. Please go find them.
