Me and a buddy are looking to join a local bass club. We dont own a boat so we would be fishing as non boaters or co anglers. Doesnt have to be like the BASS Federation Nation or anything. Just a local club so we can get the feel of competing and being in the back of the boat. Not to mention the amount of knowledge and experience we will gain. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Are you from Upper Darby?
Have you checked out the "Links" section a the top of the Forum page and then notice "bass clubs"?
Check out the Pennsylvania links.
There are always non B.A.S.S. and FLW clubs around. You have to speak with tackle shops to find out about them.
In the meantime, you can fish the Surekill River amongst the college rowers!!!
Flyers rule! (Well, they used to rule. Now they blow their Stanley Cup games)

Chester County Bass Masters is adding memebrs for the 2013 season.
Non boaters and boaters are welcome to join.
We have guys from Drexel Hill, Upper Darby, Morton, Rutledge, Springfield, Aston, Boothwyn, Newark ,De. and a few in Downingtown and West Chester and South Jersey........
We are always looking for good people to join, it's a nice group of guys, some good fisherman and some younger guys just learning.
Being an FLW Federation club, part of the club dues goes towards FLW Membership, a subscription to FLW magazine ( just like Bassmasters magazine) and also to membership in FLW circuits, which allows you to enter any of the Federation District tournaments or the BFL tournaments.
Here is a link to the club:

and the page that explains the dues, etc :

We are a Draw tournament club, boaters and non boaters are drawn before each tournament to pair guys up who do not have a boat.
We just had a meeting this past Thursday, they are the 3rd Thursday of each month @ 7:00p.m.
Next meeting will be November 15th.
Address for the meeting place is ;
John's Pizza
630 Lancaster Ave
Frazer, PA 19355
Come in the front door and go to the right, there is a separate meeting room we use from the main seating area.
You can go and register on the club message board and use the public section of the board, once you join the club and pay dues, there is a private club section of the board that we use to discuss tournaments, fishing, boats ,etc.
