I realize someone just started a topic recently to find a rod under 100 for his Lews, but I have also found that 50-60 bucks can make a big difference in rod selection. So, my price range is 100 - 150/160. I am looking for something versatile as this is my first casting combo.

I have been looking very hard at many of the abu rods and I can actually get a really good deal on the villain, but I have not heard many reviews about this rod. I have also heard a lot of good things about abu's other rods as well. What other rods would yall recommend?

Also, I do like the 2 piece veritas (6'9'' MH) since I do usually have to pack up in the car to my main lake.
