Sharing a home made rod rack. Mine is mounted on canoe thwarts.

For the rod handle used five "Utility Organizers" taped to a thwart. The U.O. does have screw holes for mounting overhead or on a wall. The individual rings in the U.O. are removable.

For the rod tips I used open hooks screwed into a wood rod that is taped to a thwart.

The U.O. costs less than 3$ each. Eye hooks probably less than a dollar. Total cost around $16.

I am assuming this if for over-winter storage, and not for use with the canoe out on the waters, correct ?

Winter storage, the canoe has not seen water for several decades.

That is pretty :cool-3854:! If I were to do something like this, and although not necessary at all, the anal side of me would put felt or some kind of plastic/rubber material on the screw eye. :embarassed:

What a great way of making every day items work in the fishing realm. Thanks for sharing.

I love it. I have one idea/suggestion. I bet if you alternate a UO then hook then UO on each board you could get twice the storage in the same space.

Very good point.

I did not go that route as my boat is under the canoe so it is difficult to access the area where the rod handles would be.
