Just wondering if any one knew what it was made of. It's black and just wondering if it's better/stronger / lighter than a brass one

Here's a pic:

Duralumin like the main gear. Feels and looks like plastic to be honest. I have heavily used a reel with it for a. Few Years and its help up well.

Thanks craww. At first I had the same thought that it was plastic and was about to be reel (
Pun intended) disappointed. The reason I asked was that I have a tournament edition that has the same one on it and was gonna switch it out for a brass one.

The pro qualifier tournament and carbonlite are great reels. I own the pqt. I have more expsensive reels but I like it just as much. I just purchased the new Johnny Morris carbonlite, which has the duralumin also. You have nothing to be concerned with bro.
