As a co-angler, I am looking to try my first big tournament this summer that is not too far from where I live south of Chicago. I know both places have their positive and negative attributes, so I am curious to know what others would choose.
Would it be the Bassmaster Northern Open on the Detroit River or the FLW Everstart Series on the Mississippi River in LaCrosse, Wisconsin?

- Favorite Lake or River:I would have to say that Lake of Egypt in Southern Illinois is my favorite. I was there last year fishing in only my second tournament and I caught a total of 9 bass the entire day with a limit to win the tournament!

Never done a BASS touranment but I've had good impression with the FLW BFL so far this year.

I fished one with the BFL as a co angler and really enjoyed it. I think it would be more fun as a co angler in the BFL cause the boaters at the Opens are just thinking about winning and getting that trip to the classic for the most part or paying the bills.. FLW or BFL for that matter your all just there to finish and try to score a check not many people maybe a couple are worried about fishing to pay the bills in that series..
