  1. I saw those buttdraggers at BPS on my last visit. I will have to try those, as well. I am gathering some different types & sizes to take to Lake Guntersville in April. Gamakatzu has some 3/8oz jigheads I have ordered. I also ordered some DOA lead weights you can wrap on any size hook. I like your quote at bottom of your page. Thx.
  2. Thanks Hester. What size hook? I am looking to try 4/0 & 5/0 hooks to match the bait size.
  3. Looking for some rigging advice. Jighead weight, hook size, and mfr. for 4.5" & 5.5" size baits. Not typically fishing deeper than 12'- except fishing Lake Erie (20-30'). Color options for clear to stained water suggestions would be helpful (black emerald, green shiner, natural perch). Come on soft water!
  4. WIII- I have had great success with 200 & 300 in brown chartreuse craw, baby bass, and pearl chartreuse. Great action, reflect well, and pure bass catchers.
  5. Al- thanks for the advise- glad to hear the 520C will fit in the same recessed space. I will want the thru hull transducer & already have someone lined up to do the work. Any advantage to spend the money for a 2nd 520C model or leave my recessed X-65 there? PS- what do you have up front?
  6. No problem LM. I could get this with an internal antenna but my existing graph is recessed. I am struggling with either Ram mounting my new graph or taking out my X-65 Lowrance and recessing the 520C. I may leave the X-65 in and use the flasher mode? I have a 2000 Triton TR20.
  7. Bass Dr.- I plan on buying a card for my unit. Plan on traveling to new lakes and I've got to believe easier than to navigate a paper map.
  8. Thx. LM. How do you have your 522's transducer & graph mounted?
  9. Thanks Matt. I bought a hand-held gps and saw first hand how it was more accurate than my speedometer. Very humbling. My initial thought is to have thru hull puck on console graph and front deck transducer on TM. Now, I just need to find a qualified installer?
  10. I am looking to upgrade to the Lowrance GPS graph (LMS-520C). I wanted some feedback from current GPS/Graph users as to where to install the external GPS antenna? My existing graphs are recessed in console. Also, would you recommend to have separate transducers for the front deck & driver's console graphs or have one thru-hull transducer for both graphs? Thx. 11. What time of the year was your catch in Browns Creek? We are planning on coming dowm ealy April? Got the fever bad!
  12. Thanks for the recommendation for Bar-B-Que. Looking forward to some great southern cookin' & bass fishin. Where is Mud Creek from So. Sauty Creek?
  13. Garbudah- great timing for Lake G. posts. I will be rolling in 4/5 and staying the week at So. Sauty Crk. I have heard we could stay in that creek all week. I have been researching and if weeds are up, it will be a good time for Rat-L-Traps, spinnerbaits, & Senko's around weed edges and running over the top of grass. Any additional info would be helpful and appreciated.
