  1. Cell phone pics, but you get the idea.
  2. Flechero: Doesn't this quote from a one of your earlier posts in this thread mean that Shimano/G Loomis was making a pretty good profit from the Xpeditor? I mean, if there is a whole bunch of people buying the rods because of the Xpeditor warranty - and according to you and past threads very few people have ever broken a rod, that equals profit right? Just sayin... Im sure that thread did not expose the people that break the rods on purpose to cheat the system.
  3. It also did not fair well on sensitivity w/o the use of braid.
  4. Mine showed up today. Hoping to test it out this evening.
  5. Mine showed up the other day. Matched with a Core50. Only fished a couple of hours with it, but I am very impressed so far. I have a 6 5 spinning rod matched with a CI4. I liked it so much I had to try the casting version. Hoping to see some new additions during ICast.
  6. What do you want to know? Was there supposed to be a question? I do not understand why you are trying so hard to make the Cumulus look bad. Why does it bother you so much?
  7. I am the same way. Stops people from wanting to use my spinning gear.
  8. I see no need to point out the obvious benefits of a Cumulus over any IM6 rod. You have made up your mind. I have seen my friends Vendetta slowly start to fall apart and it has not even been a full fishing season yet. The amazing shiny red butt cap is chipped and has paint wearing. The finish on the exposed split grip part of the blank is already worn off in spots. Why spend that much on a Vendetta when you can have this: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_44306____SearchResults.
  9. Not much point when peoples minds are already made up. I fish with a guy that has two Vendetta rods. They are not even close to the same class as the Cumulus. This is just a chance for people to justify their purchase of a Vendetta rod. Actually, it's the opposite. It's the losing battle of someone trying to justify paying 3X more for a rod that's not 3X the rod. The thread was not started by someone owning a Cumulus. I have no need to justify my purchase. Thats why you don't see me starting a thread about how awesome my Cumulus is. It sounds to me like most people here do not even own Cumulus rods. They just realize how rediculous it is to claim the Vendetta is a better rod.

  12. Stay away from the old black fireline. Get the green stuff that dodgeguy posted a picture of.
  13. My comments had nothing to do with brand loyalty.
  14. There was no "wealth of reading material". A google search turned up maybe 2 cases where the tip had broke and one said it could have been because of shipping. You know very well that there would not be much info on the vendetta because it is so new. You use this as "evidence" that there are no problems with this rod and even allude to it being better than rods 2-3 times the price. I did not intend to argue with you. I just wont sit and watch the spreading of misinformation. EDIT: There is no fight here. People can disagree on things without it being a fight.
  15. It is more a problem with people giving misinformation than anything. Giving the impression that the Vendetta is better than a Cumara due to tip breakage problems is flat out false. People come here for purchase questions and a lot use this site exclusively when making a decision on what rod to purchase. They should be given the truth not infomercial like claims by people trying to push a product that they purchased.
  16. Lets give it 2 years and see what people think of it then. By that time their warranty will be up and will be out of luck if they run into any problems.
  17. Palomar for me too. Thinking about changing to something new so I can have a different response to knot questions than everyone else.
  18. Thanks for the heads up. Now they just need to get the new Stradics in stock.
  19. The Vendetta is new. Cumaras and Crucial not so much. It is a silly comparison either way. Since you brought it up, a google search for "vendetta broken tip" had over 3 million hits. "Cumara broken tip" has 881. Are you trying to say the Vendettas are better than the Cumaras?
  20. Yep. With the majority of them having little or nothing to do with Cumaras and broken tips. When doing a similar search for "shoe broken tip", google came up with 5 million hits....can put just about anything in google and come up with a million+ hits that have absolutley nothing to do with the information you are looking for.
  21. I did a google search as you suggested for the Cumara. I wouldn't call it a "wealth of reading material". The 4th result was this thread...
  22. Any action from them will be from the fishermen. If you just let it sink to the bottom you wont be impressed. When twitching/jerking them, they glide side to side and I love how they will glide back under the pads I just dragged them over. I do not even consider them to be the same type of bait as a senko. Other than the fact that they are both pencil shaped. I would never fish the two the same way
  23. I texas rig mine and fish pads and reeds with them. I let them sink a bit and jerk them. They give a nice side to side action. I have caught a lot of fish using the white ones. When done fishing, put it back in the bag or it will dry out and be hard to remove from the hook.
