  1. Butler County , about 35-40 miles North of Pittsburgh.
  2. Went to Lake Aurthur , closest lake for me to test the gear. It was 22 degrees out when we launched that day. The cold couldn't keep me from playing with the toys.
  3. Got the boat on the water yesterday to see if she still floats. Over the winter I added a new 20hp. Tohatsu kicker and a Hummingbird 997si. I played with both for a couple hours , The side imaging is unreal. Here's a picture of the rig just fresh out of the water. Goodluck this Year.
  4. Where you going to take her on the first trip , Shenango , River maybe Presque Isle. Thats a nice looking boat , Hope you have lots of fun.

I'm usually fishing Shenago in the spring for Crappies but have caught some nice smallies around the bridges near rt. 18. Also I would try down past the marina about 1/2 mile on right a stretch of tree's falling in the water for 200 yards. Have caught some nice large mouths there also.
  6. Thanks , I shipped back the 798 today to exchange for the 997. I just knew down the road I was going to be thinking about the bigger screen. This is killing me , I wanted to try it this weekend but im sure it wont be turned around that fast. :'(
  7. Yes , going on the console. Did you figure yours out pretty easy.
  8. I just bought a 798si and opened it up , I think I'll be wanting a bigger screen 5 minutes after I mount it. Do any of you have a 797si or 798si feel it would be a real benifit to have the 997si 8" screen over the 5" 798si. If I'm going to go crazy and pay i don't want to do it twice.
  9. Thanks and please don't ever speed with a youth in the area. I would hate to see a kid witness this also.
  10. Poachers , what a joke. I guess you never go over the speed limit too. I would say in Pa. 90% of the 9.9 have been converted to 15 hp. Most lakes have finally moved the lakes to 20 hp. I guess you never had a boat like mine that with a 18 hp motor it tops out a 6.5 mph. Thats not even safe in some of are small horsepower lakes. I'm not saying put 9.9 stickers on a big motor but the 20 and under hp motors use the same case.
  11. Have you considered a co pilot. I have had mine for 3 years and love it. I can be anywhere in the boat and control it from my rod. I have two remotes so if there is a second person in the boat we both can control it if we need to.
  12. All 9.9 motors where I live are 18hp to 20 hp. Almost everyone just changes sticker kits .
