Just wanted to say hello to everyone!! I am fairly new to sport fishing, I have fished all my life using mainly live bait catching sunfish and blue gill with the occasional channel cat. I have switched over to bass fishing using all artificial, and it has been so much fun. I have been catching large-mouth like crazy in different public and private ponds and lakes. I also had some good luck with smallies while river fishing during the summer using a small red rooster-tail. Anyway, just wanted to say hello and pose a question... Is it true that right now when the temp. is around 45 to 50degrees F, bass fishing is at its peak? I have had some good luck using mostly freak bait and worms with the large mouth, and it seems to me they are biting pretty well right now in this mild climate.
