  1. The boat has 2 batteries for the 24v Trolling motor and a starting battery for everything else. Last year with only one of the fish finders on as well as with the livewells going it drained the starting battery on a couple of occasions. We fish primarily small bodies of water so a "run" from spot to spot is usually 3-4 minutes to charge the battery. I was thinking about putting in a deep cycle because it will extend the use time and should also have the cranking amps to start the motor, but should I go with a starting/deep cycle to make sure I have the cranking amps?
  2. The way i have been doing it since I was a kid is with a creeper ( the kind used to get under cars.) Put it in the middle of the boat and can go on any pavement with one hand pushing. Not good for grass though.
  3. Hi all, I am new to the site and really enjoy reading through all the posts. I have a LCX 38 and 112 for my skeeter. My question is what kind of battery would you recommend for running these as well as livewells, lights etc... I was thinking about getting either a deep-cycle or a starting/deep-cycle. Is there a standard preference? P.s i don't think it would be a good idea to tie them into the trolling motor batteries. Thanks in advance for the help.
