  1. Hammer 4's post in 8 - 10 inches was marked as the answer
    OUCH!!!!
  2. Hammer 4's post in Tatula 200 or Curado k for topwater and swimbaits under 2oz? was marked as the answer
No experience with current Shimano reels, but I do have a bunch of Diawa reels, including the Tatula 200 and 300, the latter which I use for heavier baits 3 oz and up.
So, I suggest taking a Good look at the 200 Tatula, it works very well with the baits you want, I throw 6" Hudds on it al day long with no issues.
  3. Hammer 4's post in Irod 794sb or 795sb? was marked as the answer
This is a per TW's description on the 795sb.
Please Note: All Rods 7'11" and longer feature removable handles. Click on the "Show Information" tab next to each rod model for more information. Specs on 7' 9" Large Swimbait Heavy rods may vary – actual lure weight is 3-6oz.
When I had the Dobyns 806, it was borderline for throwing a 8" Hudd, it actually tossed the 6" Hudd much further. You can contact Irod, and they can tell you for sure. I have 3 of their rods, and love em.
