  1. A couple of weeks ago I asked if any one had used it yet and what they think. No one had even seen it in the stores yet. My local Gander Mountain has had it is stock a few weeks now and they said it is the most popular choice lately for fluorocarbon. The store clerks said they had not fished with it yet so they could not give me an opinion. Just wondering if anyone on here has used it yet and what they thought. Thanks 8-)
  2. I used super glue on my cork handle repair. That was 5 years ago and still holding up. 8-)
  3. Has anyone used the Spiderwire Invisi-Braid line before. Right now I use Sufix braid. I like the strength of it but it sticks out like a sore thumb on some of the lakes I fish at. Just wanted to know if it was really invisible or clear in the water or is that a bunch of marketing hype. Also what about trying some of the Fireline in crystal color. I will be using it on spinning gear. Thanks for all you guys input. Mike 8-)
  4. Go to Gander Mountain and put your reel on a St. Croix Avid med 6foot 6 inch rod. I think you will like it.
  5. St. Croix Avid $160.00 and still have money left over to buy some more stuff.
  6. If you choose other on the poll please tell what it is. Thanks
  7. Which line is better. They will be used on spinning gear with KVD Line Treatment looking at 6lb or 8lb.Thanks 1. Gamma Copolymer 2. P-Line CXX
  8. Eyedabassman if you get some let me know what you think. Right now I use Segaur Carbon Pro and it has a little to much stretch for me. What kind do you recommend on spinning gear? Mike
  9. It was under $20.00. I think it was like $18.00. That was for a spool that I think was 200 yards.
  10. My local Gander Mountain has it in stock. Iam located in Peoria Il.
  11. Has anybody tried the new Sufix 100 % Fluorocarbon yet? If so what did you think?Would it handle nicely on spinning gear? Thanks Mike
  12. I just spooled up my spinning gear with Seaguar Carbon Pro Line in 10 pound test .010mm. Just wanted to know if anyone has used it on spinning gear and what they thought. Thanks for your input good or bad. Mike
  13. Cardinal 802 or the new version STX I have a 802 on the St Croix Avid 6 foot 6 rod and it has a great feel and the perfect balance point.
  14. All I fish with is spinning gear in medium. I have fished with mono and with braid. For mono I used Spiderwire xxx mono. For braid I used Sufix. I like the toughness of the braid but just don't like it. I just doesn't fell right to me. I liked fishing with the mono but it tangled about every cast. I think it was the wrong kind of mono.I also used Trilene XL but it broke on me to many times to trust it in 8lb.I started the topic Best Fluorocarbon For Spinning Gear. To be honest after reading what you guys said about it on spinning gear maybe I shouldn't go that route either. Then I read the Tackle Tour Fluorocarbon Showdown Iam thinking I shouldn't use it. To me Iam looking for, Toughness,Castability,Sensitivity,.010 or smaller in Dia. Could you guys please help me pick a line. Mono,Copoly,Nylon or something else. Money is not a problem, I would spend $25.00 for a spool if it were all the things that Iam looking for. Thanks again for the help. Mike 8-)
  15. What do you guys think is the best fluorocarbon line on the market. It will be going on spinning gear. Looking at 6lb or 8lb test line. I do know NOT TO BUY VANISH. Iam just wanting to try something different than mono. Thanks.
  16. I was looking at those plastic Bass Hunter,Pelican 2 seater boats. They would fit in the back of my truck. My question is should I get one of those boats with a trolling motor or just get a Jon Boat and a trolling motor. Both of them would be 10 footers. Thanks Mike 8-)
  17. I have a Cardinal 802 and love it. It is built tough and has a smooth drag system. I had a Pflueger Supreme 8035 and hated it. I went back to my Daiwa Emblem Z 2000 for a while until I got my 802. The STX replaced the 802. The only difference in the two reels is the extra bearings and that super line spool. You might want to try e bay for a 802. I got mine new in a box with all the papers spare spool and reel bag for $62.00. If not I think you will like the STX. 8-)
  18. Thanks for all your input. 8-) Please vote on the pole I added. These are the lines I m looking at. They all sound like good choices. Thanks again, Mike 8-)
