Here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland the only options i have are Wal-Mart, Gander, Dick Sporting Goods and an auto parts store that sells lures (yes i said auto parts and fishing lures!1! ;D) Obviously Gander out of all of those takes the cake and although Dicks has a better selection then wal mart their prices are just crazy! My top choice is BPS but seeing that the only one i know of is back near where i grew up in Hanover, Maryland (3 hours away) its Gander and Wal mart unless im back home.

I am going to Gander Mtn. Later today. I am curious as this is my first fall i will be fishing a pond for 99% of the fall and was wondering what you would suggest as good baits for the fall... any and all info is appreciated. Thanks for your help. Good luck to all headed out fishing soon...
  6. sweet thanks for the advice
  7. how do you retrieve and move the fluke when your fishing it weightless? i have some baby bass but never fished them so i was curious on what you think works best.
  8. Great advice thank you for all the help. i cant wait to get out their and use this the next time i see some.
  9. sounds good i always thought that shorter casts where the way to go. Dont know why i thought that but it makes more sense to throw far and bring it in a little more unsuspecting. Thanks for all your advice guys
  10. True good point i guess i just needed to hear from someone else cause althought i am getting more accustomed to this i am very new at it and i loose more lures then i catch fish! LOL It will turn around but i was curious if anyone really did catch the fish they see only a few feet away on the shore. Glad to hear it is possible.. Back out their to keep trying. Cant catch em on the sofa lol
  11. I was curious if anyone else comes across this situation and if so what do you do? I have been fishing (shorebound) I see nice size bass about 2-3 pounds i try and throw what i have rigged up (normally either a plastic texas rigged or a crankbait) yet i cannot get them to bite it. Is this more than likely because if i see them they can def see me?
  12. Thoughts prayers, and best wishes are being sent daily

I asked for some advice in the Fishing Tackle section and i got some really good advice. I happen to have the rattletrap in my tackle box that the guys were talking about. I thought it was still a little big to be using from the shore but low and behold on my 5th cast of the day at a spot i normally dont fish on the pond i got a little bass but for me any bass is a good bass cause its only the second one ive ever caught. Just wanna thank everyone on this site that has or will give advice and has helped me learn so much in the past couple of months. Hope everyone is enjoying their fishing days. The bass i got is to the left here under my name. <-------------

Thanks to everyone for their thoughts on my question. Went out today and decided since all i had left was the Rattletrap (seriously gotta go to the store) on about my 5th cast of the day i got my only fish (was only out about an hour) it was a little 1+ LMB but still only the second one i caught and a big thanks to King Bass, and Use only STERN for urging to me to please use it cause i figured it would be to big for the depth i was working and i would have to buy smaller ones for the pond i fish.

Great advice and thanks for the Crank Bait Link RW. I am very excited to satisfy the bait monkey soon... Running out of lures and soft plastics gotta rebuild the tackle box

Great i will look for these items and see what i can get...
  19. I fish a very clear pond that has a ton of minnows, sunfish and blue gill. Their are very nice sized bass in it. I am trying to get some crank baits to throw. I am not sure i know what what kind to look for. I have patrolled the articles and have a few ideas but wanted to pick others brains. I am a shore fisher man so it will probably have to be lipless or small lipped. Finally what is everyone though on using a swivel? does it take away from fishing? i know its easy to switch baits but if its better to not use it i will learn to tie more knots and forget them.
  20. Awesome outting. I cant wait to have our first child and be able to take him/her out on the water and get them hooked
  21. I have only fished 3 States. Maryland, Va, and Ny. Been to many countries but never fished their.
