  1. Thanks, I hoped that was the case
  2. These are some good comments. Avid, I have debated your position. At one moment, I would agree with you totally, the next moment I might think of having that monster in my local Bass Pro Shop tank with some sort of royalties. A live record would have to be worth more than a million....... I think that I am going to start carring some rope so the fish could be tied off. I have a digital scale, so i would be able to know reasonalbly closely if there is a chance.
  3. I know, I know the chances are slim, but we all have dreamed of it. Do I read the rules correctly that to qualify for the world record black bass the line must be 20lb test or less? I was reading the rules at www.igfa.org
  4. Many of us are fishing for that big one but fish in small boats without livewells. If you were in this situation and lets say you caught something beyond 15lbs and wanted to have it officially recognized, how would you go about proving it and being able to release the bass too. Wouldn't it be terrible if you caught the state record or world record in some remote pond while in your bass hunter and had really wanted to release it but also wanted to make it official. Many lakes that have fish like this might be lakes that you can't get a big boat on anyway and they definatley don't have marinas with "official" scales. What are your ideas, thoughts, issues, etc.
  5. TRigged Senco style for me. It brought me out of the day after day skunks on the few lakes I fish.
  6. Have you tried senkos? You may want to use a scent as well. It will cover up odors such as bug spray, soap and gasoline that may be on your hands. I really struggled in my lake for a long time until I started the two things I just mentioned. I know there is no "magical" answer but worth a try.
  7. This process of getting the hook out of the gut is amazing to me. Just this past weekend, a friend and I had a good day but had about 5 get gut hooked. We were using Senkos and sometimes since they eat it on the fall, they start swallowing before we set the ****. Anyway, I was able to get the hook out of every one easily. Only one had bleed just a tiny bit.
