  1. What is a good website to get water level reports on. Im located in S FLA
  2. I would look online to find a Curado 200E7.
  3. At that price who cares. If it lasts 3 years I would be happy. I dont know how long they have been around. I havent seen them on BPS online, just in my local store.
  4. Most of the baits that I use work just fine with a 3/0. From 6-9" lizards, to 12" worms. Never had a problem. Only other size I use is a 5/0 for my thick baits, like the Gambler EZ.
  5. So, yesterday was a rainy day here in S Fl, so my wife and I decided to do a little outing. Since I have the FF Tourney in Holiday Park next Wed, I decided we should head down to BPS so I can pick up a few things. While walking around the fishing section, I happened upon the new Shimano Sellus rods. Thats when I realized how good that would look with a Chronarch mounted on it. So, as I turn to my wife and say, "30th Birthday present", she looks at me as if I was kidding, but Im not. She took out her phone and took notes down, so thats good right? Does anyone have any experience with these rods, I know there are fairly new, but for the price, I dont want to put a great reel on a garbage rod. I think a Chronarch and that rods would go good to complete my Shimano arsenal.
  6. YoZuri=best thing since sliced bread!
  7. Figure 1 bass per every 20 square feet. ?
  8. Welcome to the forum. Im in Springs as well. Where exactly you find these beasts? Good job!
  9. 200E. Thats the one to look for. I have a variety of reels, from cheaper to more expensive than my E, in my opinion, it takes them all. Castability, reliability, user friendly, just plain tough. If thee is any reason that its overhyped is becausevit deserves it. I wouldnt trade my 50E or 200E for anything. I would give all the others up.
  10. Yes, water levels are low right now. When you launch in Clewiston, most likely you are going by the Roland Martin Marina, once you get out of the loche, go right or left, that is the rim ditch. Google map it and look at the lake from a whole view. That canal that runs on the outside of the actual lake itself is called "The rim ditch".
  11. GO CHUGBUG! I knew I kept mine from '95 for a reason.
  12. Id go for a solid 6. Nice setup for a newbie!
  13. You can fish the rim ditch that goes around the lake. Also, when you get out of the channel from Clewiston to go out to the lake, you can go right to Coot Bay, or left to the West Wall. Either way, be careful where you go because there are some real shallow areas, and you can get stuck out there. Fish the ditch if you wanna play it safe, there are plenty of fish in there too.
  14. Sounds like a good deal. After my tournament May 8, I will have to send it to you. Any particular process to do this?
  15. OK, this one I am deffinately gonna make. I havent been fishing there in a long time, so anybody got any advice? Should we just stick to the canals? Is there anyplace that is producing? Ive heard that its been rough fishing out there lately.
  16. Haha, your right, I just checked my E. Duh. Ok, so how much is it to do the upgrade and tune? And does it help?
  17. So the new G Curado has no bearing on the spool shaft like the E did? That sucks, what about using an E series spool?
  18. Since you cant add a bearing, do you just put a Curado spool on it to get that extra bearing?
  19. Oh OK, your right now that I look at it. I had a CI200, thats what I was thinking of. Well, can you put a bearing on the spool shaft of the new one? Also, I guess have that bushing you are talking about replaced with a bearing too. My Model is the new Citica G6.
  20. The bushing that is replaced with a bearing is on the spool shaft, at least that is also what I want done, or just get a Curado Spool.
  21. Not trying to jack the thread, but the bearing upgrade from the bushing on the Citica does not help casting distance? Either way, I have a Citica G, and would like it to perform like my Curado (to an extent, I know its not completely possible), what do you do, and how much? Thank you
  22. Spend an extra $30 and get a Curado. If not, then go with the Citica, its built better.
  23. There is the canal system that runs along Sawgrass Expressway. Plenty of fish in there. Largemouth, snakeheads, peacock, talapia, myan cichlids, etc.
  24. Mine has my 50E on it with 12# Yozuri. Pretty much my light rigged plastics, or whatever I decide to tie to it. Just nothing for real heavy cover.
