  1. i would stick with that 270. It's flat shooting and will get the job done.
  2. Hello Bailey and welcome to the forum. Can you send me some information about your high school fishing team to gailmcdavidjr@biteitbaits.com.
  3. Yeah they got some good ones but the palmettos are so bad you have to get a deer within bow range to shoot it with a gun!
  4. I would say yes. And along the theme of this thread our Double X was specifically designed to imitate a medium sized crayfish. The strikes are hard like the fish is trying to kill it when it strikes it and I catch a lot of catfish on this bait. That in itself tells me it is a doing a good job.
  5. I live in Carencro. I got him in Thistlewaite WMA.
  6. I like the double colorado. If the water is has at least a foot of visibility I'll stick with my white and chartruesse. Add a trailer hook and slow row the bait just to where you can still feel the blades turning.
  7. Having a adverse affect on Bass would be bad enough, but even if it doesn't it would still be littering our waterways. My wife don't mind the plastic as much as the pack of crappie jigs stuck in all the clothes!
  8. The feel of a bite varies to a degree depending on what type of lure you are using. If you are not sure then as a general rule- anything different=set the hook!
  9. Thank you very much. He is a fine Louisiana bottomland Buck.
  10. We are starting a primitive weapon hunt this week. The deer in my area are rutting the first two weeks of January.
  11. I got this one yesterday on a wildlife management area by my house. The biologist aged him at 5 1/2. He is a 7 point but the beams are 23 and 24 inches.
  12. My name is Gail McDavid. I am an oilfield worker and co-owner of Bite It! Baits. I live in Carencro, Louisiana in the middle of the Sportsmans Paradise. My hobbies are fishing and hunting and designing fishing baits. I started my Bass fishing addiction in farm ponds as a boy and spent many hours in the front of a john boat with a paddle in one hand and a pole in the other. Now that I have a bigger boat, I spend the majority of my time on the water at Toledo Bend. I hope to contribute and learn from all you other anglers here. Keep a tight line!
