  1. WOW!! That is a giant! I love rage lures. I bet that she put up a great fight!
  2. I just use mono as backing, but make sure it covers the whole bottom of the spool.
  3. What's the water clarity like? If the water is really murky, then a leader is not necessary. But if it's clear than a leader 2-4 ft tied with an Albright knot is the best.
  4. Thank you so much. That was the perfect answer I was looking for! I'm going to do this tomorrow.
  5. Hey guys, I really need to flush my spool bearings because there is way to much grease in them and they don't spin well at all. So my question is how do I flush them, and what do I need? Thanks for all your help!
  6. Doesn't really limit what rigs you can use, the main thing is increased sensitivity, and casting distance. On the other hand, they aren't nearly as strong if stepped on because they bend more easily.
  7. Wow great fish! Nice to hear you're back at it!
  8. I use a jig and big trailer if I'm going for those pigs.
  9. I like to use a rattle but sometimes your trailer won't stay on as long or tight with one attached. It also calls fish from a longer distance, but usually with a jig that isn't an issue.
  10. I like to use the spro bronzy frogs as well as the new koppers live target frogs, I've always had better bites if I fish it at sunrise or an hour or two before the sun sets. Also calmer water tends to produce better for me as well.

Are yum dingers any good compared to say a Yamamoto senko? I just picked some 5 inch black with blue flake dingers up recently. Just wanted to know if you guys prefered one over the other. Thanks.
  12. Yes, I know, everyone has caught numerous bass on a senko, but I finally got some and caught some fish on it wacky rigged. The fish in the picture were caught on a jig and a wakebait. 20 bass overall, not a bad day!
  13. More than 8 for sure if she was solid!
  14. Great fish! I love getting out early in the season!
  15. How long did you fish for?!
  16. I have a BPS pro qualifier baitcaster paired with a vendetta and its a very nice combo.
  17. I wouldn't change every two weeks unless you want to spend a lot of money on line a year. What line are you using?
  18. As long as the relative size is similar it won't make much difference, but bigger hooks might not allow the bait to run as true with the factory hooks on it.
  19. Nice idea! Hope it continues like you planned
  20. I live in northern illinois
  21. Got this big one off a white spinnerbait today. What do you think the weight is??
  22. Black and Blue, Chartreuse, avocado with red tail (zoom specific), and don't forget pearls!
  23. 7 inch berkley power worm in pumpkin seed is very productive for covering water. It acts as a different search bait rather than a crank or spinnerbait. Sometimes letting it fall can be productive too.
