My dad caught the former lake record at La Cygne. I absolutely love that lake, but during July, August, and early September it really isn't a great lake to fish. If you do however fish the cove near the hot water outlet. There are giants lurking in La Cygne....just have to know where to find them. Oh....also take a look up the river too. I'll post pics of the former lake record...it's hanging in my office!

I say fine him, but the 30 days in jail is way too steep. There are people who commit far worse crimes...i.e. DUI that don't serve real jail time.

I'm heading out to Melvern Lake in Kansas tomorrow morning. The smallies are already spawning and the LM's are staging. With all of this warm weather things are heating up early this year. Looking forward to a productive Spring!

Well....normally I just say "There he is" of "Fish On," but when I caught the one that broke 9 pounds I distinctly remember letting out a good ol rebel yell!

Looks like you guys did really well! I'm hitting up Melvern this Saturday for the second time. I figure they smallies have already moved up!
