  1. I went there freshmen year, awesome school. Good luck!
  2. Yea it's a great pond with plenty of vegetation. If u look on google earth you can see to the north of it theres a nice pond behind homedepot connecting to it. I fished it on the same day but it started pouring, only caught one off a worm.
  3. Went to the sample pond for a quick session before going to school. Only had about an hour. Took awhile for them to bite but i lost atleast 4 good ones then finally landed one.
  4. Yea i use the swivels so its quicker/easier for me to change lures and not have to untie and tie again. I only have one rod and fish by foot so carrying multiple rods doesn't work for me. But ill admit after that one broke i changed it to a slightly bigger one
  5. My best before today was 7 fish in a few hours, so i was definitely having a blast lol
  6. So last night i did some searching on google earth and found a real nice looking spot close to my house. Its behind the Mercedes dealer on 441 and sample. Within the first 3 casts i catch a decent one on a 7" purple worm. 30 minutes in and ive caught around 7 in the 1.5lb range and down. I decide to go for bigger bites and switch to a smoke colored paddle tail fluke. And as i hoped for, I catch two real nice ones on the first 2 casts! From there almost every other cast had atleast a bite. In a span of about 3 hours i caught over 20 fish, lost count after about 15. I was dipping everything in some garlic, they seemed to just not wanna let go. I even saw some peacock bass but all were pretty small. I lost 2 really good ones that were easily in the 4lb range, one spit the hook right at the shore line and the other snapped my swivel in half! The best of the day was a hair under 2.5lb. Enjoy the pictures!
  7. I have a trip planned for the following weekend of the 9th. Im hoping all that blows over so we get some consistent weather a few days before i get there. Im renting a boat out of Clewiston. Good luck on your trip whenever you go!
  8. what were you guys using?
  9. Im planning a trip to head up there and rent a boat out of the Clewiston area. I just wanted to know if people here can give me some advice on a good area to fish that isnt too far from that launch. I was told to check out "uncle joes cut," any comments on that place? Also just wanted to know what you guys think i should be using. From what i found out top water frogs and using paddle tail flukes and swim baits have been doing well up there. Any advice would be awesome!
  10. Haven't heard anything about that myself. Love your YouTube channel by the way!!
  11. Hope to go out there with you guys soon!
  12. Anyways, this got completely off topic. Anyone else have luck fishing off of the turnpike?
  13. Yes I did tell you to keep it a secret because up until that point I have never shared that spot with no one. Amazing how you claim it to be such an "obvious" spot yet no one on here has ever fished it nor did they think it even had fish in it! By the way that fish was 1 ounce away from 8 pounds. I have a scale on me at all times. Didn't know I would have to provide proof of its weight. For someone who claims they don't care, your initial post and all the other seems to prove otherwise my friend. You seemed like a really cool guy from our pm conversations but now you just come off as a ****** who like to call ppl out on pointless s**t then say they don't care. Get a life man seriously
  14. Lame I'm sharing my best spot? Gotcha
  15. I'm confused? What are you mad about again? That I put my best spot out for people to go fish? Your comment makes its seem like I took all the spots you wrote to me and put it up on here...so your upset I shared this spot with other people lol?! I'm sorry I didn't know me and you had some deal to not share our best spots? Tell me what's the purpose of this forum then?? I figured there was no point to get it a secret as long as everyone practices catch and release. Sorry if I hurt your feelings buddy
  16. I tried out that spot yesterday and it was as lifeless as a swimming pool. The water level there was super low so all the cover and grass was out of the water. Maybe if u have a Jon boat and a depth finder you'll have some luck. I'm guessing if there is fish in there they either swim through the under ground tunnels to other spots or sitting in the deep in the middle.
  17. Really wish I went with you and not out to lox! I got skunked out there. I have some awesome spots that's I always catch fish but wanted to mix things up. Maybe I can meet up with you after I work tomorrow!
  18. It's not really parking on the turnpike exactly. You pull off way onto the grass. There's over 100 feet of room before the pond. There's truck marks all over. If they don't want people there I'm sure it would say no parking or no fishing like a lot of places do. Jupiter is pretty far north from me. Try out the sample one if u ever get a chance.
  19. I take the north ramp from sample and right before there's a metal barricade (before actually getting on turnpike) I just pull off like 10 feet onto the grass. I've seen FHP drive right by and had no issues so far. You can also take the south ramp and pull over the same way. South pond is smaller but both still hold nice fish! I would love to join you today but I'm actually taking my hand built Jon boat out to Lox with a few friends. But definitely next week when you go out send me a message and we can def meet up and fish bro!
  20. ^^ I actually thought the same thing but have never seen anyone fish there, amd ive been driving around there for yours....at least not the sample one. Granted I have only been fishing there myself for a month now.
  21. I haven't seen any gators or snakes myself and I've fished them quite often actually. But then again were in south Florida lol, you should be expecting it right? Just need to be careful. The one on sample has no fish smaller then 2 pounds.
  22. I was wondering if anyone here has ever had any success fishing those circle ponds that are in the middle of the on/off ramps connecting to the Turnpike? I have tried the one on Sample and Turnpike and actually caught my PB there. You can see the pig on my profile pic! I know there are many others like the one that connects the Sawgrass Exp and Turnpike that looks really promising. Any comments?
  23. ^^^Thats a sick picture man
  24. where have you been fishing?!
  25. This may be obvious to many of you here, but for those who may not know, the best possible advice is fish on a real cloudy day! If there is no clouds blocking the sun the fish sit under cover and barely move. Unless you can cast into spots under shade like trees, bridges, docks and heavy grass the fishing will be tough! Also learn about barometric pressure!! On days the pressure is rapidly dropping the bite goes off anywhere you are!
