  1. It would be nice if you put what info you could find in here so it isn't posted redundantly.
  2. I feel like they worried more about weight than balance w the NRX. They just went as light as possible and if someone wanted to balance the butt they obviously could. I LOVE my 852c and with an Ito Ai it balances like a feathery dream. It's as if I'm holding another rod's shadow. I do love seeing the effort put in though. Obsession is only bad if it doesn't get you EXACTLY what you want. Hater's gonna hate... Baiters gonna bait!
  3. That's it... Time for a bait-off
  4. As long as the water is wet, jerkbaits of all flavors and types will work.
  5. Wow OP you lucked out. Go now and buy the 13 *** Black that ARV is selling in the flea market- it's a MH and the Envys are amazing rods even at full retail. I believe he has it up for $155 shipped which is a STEAL. I've considered it myself. Then go buy a Lew's LFS in a 6 gear. That is the best way I can think of to spend ~$250 on a do-everything casting combo in a MH.
  6. Well it's good to see you're fitting right in haha
  7. I really like finding awesome deals on killer baits in older patterns. It warms my heart. In other news, there are tree crews all over the place outside my shop today. I work in a turn of the 1900's era mill that's been horribly neglected for decades that's along a river and a development company came in and bought the whole place a few years ago. They are building a river walk/boardwalk along the river and it's basically making it so I can fish from ~30yds out of my shop's front door, and easily take my kayak to work in the summer. Color me excited, I've been watching the machines go to town out the window like a 9yo.
  8. Hey I'm totally with you on that one. I don't get it either but it's a thing unfortunately.
  9. They really thought that one out brilliantly. I love their concept on that. The interchangeability really plays to the "cover all bases" mentality that's even more important backpacking.
  10. The fooks, man!
  11. That is not unusual for fish to shut down in temp changes- koi are very cold water fish so it doesn't phase them. Might want to be careful though... I think it's pretty cool to keep a bass but some states have laws against keeping wild fish in captivity and doing so can result in heavy fines. As a former aquatics professional I have heard nightmare stories.
  12. I think in that particular case you may want to think a little farther into the particular type of "baiting" you'll be doing for a while after dropping that one on the gf haha
  13. Yeah but you gave it your all, and that's what really matters
  14. Haha hey that's my move! I make the "full list" and then go over it to eliminate things I don't actually need. It makes me feel more frugal at the very least.
  15. See for me it's the opposite! I cook with fresh garlic almost daily and the fake garlic smell makes me sad inside.
  16. Depends on the size and presentation of your worm
  17. Texposers rock, and thank you for reminding me of that. For Texas rig they lay very flat and weedless and are great on hooksets. Never had one break. Also the people at LC are all awesome. Very nice and when you call up an order, stop by in person or website order direct from them they usually throw in a handful of free stuff too. It's like instead of getting a TW sticker for your order you get something cool to try or put into terminal tackle. Two bass thumbs way up.
  18. Might be worth giving one of these a shot though no? Megabass has an excellent reputation for quality and thoughtfulness. For around the same money it does seem to have a lot to offer the wart lover and *should* cast a bit better. I honestly can't wait to try them both back to back and see how they compare.
  19. Where do you get that? I need to buy that as a gift for a friend. Badly! He would pass away from laughing... Maybe a few corn kernel stickers would really set it off too lol
  20. It's fine, I didn't want that $20 anyways. Besides, the old warts either go for the same amount or even way more- and with the weight transfer system included in these it makes more sense than getting hosed for old warts to me personally. Also just look at the pic of it that I posted above. It's gorgeous as hell- way beyond a wart. It's worth $20 to me and I am not worried if anybody else agrees quite honestly. Haters gonna hate... Baiters gonna bait.
  21. Wait until you try Uptons! They literally smell like Sour Patch Kids. It's tempting to take a bite at times since they kind of look like gummy worms anyways. Don't say I didn't warn you!
  22. Forgot to share this beaut. Love me a nice natural pattern! BEAD those glides look absolutely phenomenal, I love how tight and clean the hinge interface is.
  23. Keep some Mend-it in the boat and never EVER click on, look at or use a Megabass product. A slipperier slope may not exist.
  24. It's funny I should see this thread as I just picked one up. I haven't even received it yet. Was thinking they looked exactly like a JDM wart and they have some dangerously sexy finishes. I'll definitely be putting them through their paces side by side this summer. Grabbed this guy and can't wait!
  25. The bait monkey hath spoken.
