a question for everyone, do you read/use the solunar tables when planning a fishing trip, have you noticed anything about good vs bad days I myself have noticed more activity on strong solunar days, but that does'nt mean i will catch more fish just wondering????

i got to do that with my son

he is 9 yo, fishing is the best father and son time

thats the way it was all summer for us, everytime he would go we would have a bad day, then nov hits and cool temps and the fish are on, it did help that i found a lake that seems to have alot of fish, but not to many big big fish, 22 seems like biggest in there, but he loves it, i spend all my time unhooking fish etc..... i am 53 yo and i feel like kid when we fish, i trully believe what they say about teaching kids to fish, no better bonding time then this

Ok, Dec 1, a new month and i could not sit at home and my son wanted to go fishing, so off we go, and the same story as always he get the most and biggest fish lol, we started at 12:30 and fished till 4:00, cloudy, water temp 70, we trolled crankbaits, kvd from walmart, 1.5 in sexy shad and a green one they had. he score big today 8 fish to my 2 Joe's fish for today 20 1/2, 15 1/2, 15, 16, 21 =88 mutt fish for today 16, 18 1/2 = 34 1/2

I got out early today, on the water at 6:30 and fished till 4:30, long day, started off slow only had 6 fish by 1:00, but i kept trying, had to try and beat the champ(ak). started trolling crankbait and spinners down around 8 to 10 feet pretty fast speed, and started getting fish, total fish today 20, largest was 19 inch, so i think i can cull an 18. kvd 1.5 crankbait, sexy shad got most of the fish today, also got a dink of the day Dink of the day

Lou My 9 yo son(joe) wants to be in for next month too, the way he has been fishing he will beat all of us, lol

i'm going to try, maybe thursday and saturday

well i spent 9 hours out fishing today, 6:30 to 3:30, trying to get another 20" or more, but no luck today only got 5 and the biggest was 17", so no culling caught my 1st fish on a spook (bone) at first light, 17 inch the 2nd on a white fluke w/red hook weightless around 8:30, 16 inch 3rd on kvd crankbait 1.0 sexy shad, 12 inch, missed 2 or 3 on this 4th on 1/4 oz rattle trap, silver and blue, worked slow near bottom, 25 ft, 16 inch, last fish around 1:30 used a spro frog, green, missed 2 more, but this one was the most fun today, 16 inch most of the guys i talk to today had a very slow day, some were skunked. lou, i'm in for next month

have you tryed fishing in lakeland, i live in st pete and travel with my little jon boat to lakeland almost every weekend, i fish at tenoroc fish area, old mine pits, not alot of weeds and deep in some areas, on saturday my son(9 yo) and i got 34 fish, alot of big fish too, he got 26 to my 8, lol, i love the lakes there, not alot of people, check it out rovingmutt

My son and i fished today from 9:30 to 3:00, cloudy and raining, i had to bail out my jon boat 3 times. we started using zoom white super flukes slow into the grass and were getting some fish, but a slow bite, then my son(9 yo) started getting fish, alot of fish, and big ones, he was throwing out and letting it sink about 2 to 4 ft then a fast retrieve and the loved it, his total for day was 26, i got 8, 6 on white fluke, 1 on a sexy dawg topwater, 1 on sexy shad crankbait at about 6 ft, some of his fish every dog has his day, even the young ones

It was a day i hoped for, he will never forget it, and in a certain way the rain and cold just added to the adventure

that is so cool, my son would love to meet those guys

My son and i went out in the rain today, turned out to be the best day ever for him, he got 26 fish to my 8, we were both soaked to the gills , but loved all the fish, i only got 2 of good size 2 @ 18", but my son [9 yo] he got so many i could not keep track, i have pics of the biggest ones and will post later

for the bored ones Dear lord please let me catch a fish a ten pound bass is my wish my special lure just let him bite and i will reel him in with all my might the weather is right and the water is clear please send some big fish over here i know there's fish some fit to keep way down in your waters deep Lord please let me stay afloat and guide my little fishing boat oh just send me the big ole one sometime before this day is done. found this on an old post
