This is what I was thinking. It's mainly for my Drop Shot rod... Do you think that 75 yards a piece would be enough or would I be pushing it?

How much braid do you usually put on your spinning reels? I just bought a 150 yard spool of 10lb power pro. Would you put all 150 yards on one reel, or would you use more backing and put it on a couple different reels? I plan to use a 10-15ft flouro leader.

Only own a 2 piece fly rod. Would never even consider using a 2-piece.

I don't think I would be making too long of casts, but I definitely wouldn't be vertical jigging by any means.

Is there a general consensus out there on the best overall length for a dropshot? I assume that both the "shorter" and "longer" dropshot rods have their own special applications, but what length does everyone prefer when it comes to a dropshot rod? I ask because I am looking at picking up a Shimano Crucial DS rod here in the near future, and it seems like all I can find online is a 6'8" model and a 7'2". I'm not sure of the pros and cons of each length, therefore I'm not sure what rod I should purchase. Any recommendations?

Anyone have any experience with a similar rod of a different brand? Just curious as to how it would work for those applications?

Nobody's making you or I pay for anything. If you're afraid of production costs going up as a result of someone returning a broken rod, I would suggest taking up another hobby. I hear that golf is nice.

You don't find that a 5 power is a little overpowered for jig fishing in the 3/8oz range? When I was considering Powell, people were recommending 3 and 4 powers?

I'm looking to pick up a Dobyns champion as a new jig rod. I would be throwing, at very max, 1/2 oz jigs. I would only be fishing around weeds and docks. What length and power would you guys recommend. Up until now I have only fished with 7' rods. I would also be using this rod to throw tubes on St. Clair, Erie, and Huron.

I'd be all over Dobyns if they weren't so expensive.
