Spinnerbait Durability
I agree that if the shaft snaps because you're nailing 40-50 bass on a single bait, it's a great problem to have. I'm going to stray away from the brand I've had issues with for a while and experiment with other ones. Like I said, I do have Terminators. I try not to stay married to a specific bait whether it be hard baits or soft plastics. I love the thrill of catching a fish on something new!

Spinnerbait Durability
Folks, I was just curious with what experiences you might have had with spinnerbaits. Over the weekend I hooked into an average sized bass and had the shaft of the spinnerbait break, leaving me with just the other side of the shaft and the blade. This is the second time this has happened to me over the past year with this particular brand of spinnerbait. The first time it happened was on an average size fish as well. Obviously the Terminator baits are much more durable and I still have Terminators that I have fished with for over 10 years. This particular spinnerbait, which has broken twice on me, is a very prominent brand. I have success on spinnerbaits. After you catch a certain amount of fish, do the shafts on non-titanium spinnerbaits weaken significantly? I've only had these two spinnerbaits for a short time and probably caught 20-40 fish on each of them. I'd mention the company by name, but I'm not sure if this violates the website's policy.

Bluegill Beds
Funny how different lakes vary. Here in Pennsylvania it seems the bass spawn first and are followed by the bluegills. At the lake I fish regularly the bass have already finished spawning and have moved deeper. The gills are on the beds. They hit everything to the point where I pretty much have had soft plastics torn up after 5-10 mins of fishing.

How Many Fish For Hours, without A Strike?
Fully agree with the finesse and night fishing tactics! Also try something unconventional. Just read an article that some pros are going back to old baits because there are generations of fish that haven't seen them, thus making the old new again. Examples they provided were floating Rapala minnows, Jitterbugs, older crankbaits, and soft plastics from 20-30 years ago. I know at the lake I fish everyone and their brother throw Senkos. That's the last soft plastic I throw and if I do throw a Senko I won't fish it wacky style like everyone else.

Will Bass Lose A Hook That Wasn't Removed?
Love this website and it's the first time I've posted. I usually just view. This morning I lost a decent bass on a spinnerbait. The shaft literally snapped in half leaving me with just the blade. Will the bass eventually lose the hook and trailer hook? Not sure which hook was in the bass or if both hooks were in it. Just hoping the bass will survive. Any input would be great!
