  1. Are there Largemouth and Smallmouth in Sugarland Run? I was thinking of taking my Yak up there. Anymore info would be awesome.
  2. I'm pretty sure they are not the same. Here are the craws offered by Yum on their web site: http://www.yumbaits.com/baits/craws
  3. I wish he was still making them.
  4. Are those Madman craws? If not, they look very close. I love Madman and still have a bunch but if they are Barlow's or Lake Fork I will pick some up and give them a try.
  5. Caught this one on The Rez yesterday. First bass in my Yak. I also caught a pretty nice crappie.
  6. Time to get the NOVA thread going again. Anyone been to the Rez? I'm hoping to get out there on my Yak this weekend. It will be my first time on the Occoquan. Launching out of Bull Run Marina. I've got a contour map and a Garmin 43dv. Are there any tips on patterns that are working now on the Rez?
  7. I found this info on the C&O Canal from the National Park Service web site: (https://www.nps.gov/choh/planyourvisit/boating.htm) Several short and widely separated sections of the canal have been rewatered and offer boating opportunities. Boats need to be carried around lift locks. Listed below are the watered sections of the canal. Mile 0 to 22 Georgetown to Violettes Lock Mile 99.3 to 99.8 Williamsport to Lock 44 Mile 112 to 113 Big Pool Mile 120 to 121 Little Pool Mile 124.1 to 124.7 Hancock Mile 162 to 167 Oldtown to Town Creek Access points and more info to plan a visit to the C&O Canal at the following links: http://www.candocanal.org/access.html https://www.nps.gov/choh/planyourvisit/upload/park_planner_2014final2.pdf
  8. I'm going to hit Lake Audubon in Reston on Sunday and Monday afternoon. Air temps today (Saturday) are 69, Sunday is supposed to be 68 and Monday is more of the same. I'll be trying pre-spawn patterns. My first days fishing on my new Kayak and I'm looking forward to getting on the water and wetting a line. If anything good happens I'll report back. Forecast for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday looks good too!
